As part of the continued growth of the Modern Works section of Capital Modern, we have added four new entries over the last few weeks.
The National Building is a 13-floor brick-clad office building in the downtown core. The building is set to be converted into residential units.
The Legion Building sits alone in a parking lot at the corner of Kent and Gilmour Streets. A proposed development to the site sees the addition of a high-rise residential tower.
When it was first built, The Highlands was marketed as one of the largest developments to be constructed in the Ottawa area. The development comprises of two 24-storey towers connected by a long 6-storey podium, all clad in light brown brick.
These hexagonal pavilions in Nepean service General Burns Park, which includes an outdoor pool, tennis courts, and outdoor play structures. The pavilions themselves feature unique steep pyramid shaped skylights.
