The Manor Park Public School teaches students from kindergarten to Grade 6 in both English and French Immersion.
The building is in the Manor Park neighbourhood of Ottawa, beyond Rockcliffe and McKay Lake. Unlike other areas of the city such as Woodroffe Avenue, which sees several churches, schools, and a library all on the same road, the Manor Park Public School is well embedded within its residential context.
The building is largely a single storey, with the exception of the main entrance on the east façade and the southern portion. The building is yellow-brown brick with concrete detailing throughout, and original elements, such the brick chimney, are still intact. There is a high level of craft and articulation on the concrete pieces of the building, notably around the entrances (North and East), the large bay window on the north portion of the building, and around the window frames.
The building received an addition to its south wing in the late 1990s.
