Holland Court is a rare case of the use of blue brick as a primary cladding element in Ottawa. The materiality of the building is seen from up and down Holland Ave. due to the surrounding low-rise neighbourhood.

The footprint of the building as two sheared rectangular forms leads to an interesting placement of windows that wrap along the facade, windows of adjacent apartments appear to look onto neighbouring balconies. The column of balconies is capped with a thin concrete canopy at the roof of the building.
