The spire shaped roof of the First Unitarian Church is an unmistakable feature of Ottawa’s suburban architecture, located in the Carlingwood neighbourhood. The church was designed by Craig and Kohler architects and built in 1967 for Ottawa’s First Unitarian Congregation. The facade features concrete and red cedar, and the building won second place in an annual city design contest run by the Ottawa chapter of the Ontario Association of Architects.
