Cartier Place is a hotel located in the Golden Triangle, just south of Ottawa’s City Hall. The tower rises 14 storeys amidst other residential and hotel buildings in the area, but the white painted concrete exterior lets the building pop in its context.
Precast balconies rise on either side of the symmetrical facade, the balconies have solid railings on either side, and a horizontal slatted fence-like railing across the front. The entrance to the building is especially low, with the precast cladding of the facade ending directly above the door.
