As part of the continued growth of the Modern Works section of Capital Modern, we have added three new entries over the last few weeks, highlighting some of the hidden mid-rise office buildings in the downtown core.
The Copeland Building is a 6-storey office block designed on a strong grid, located on Kent and Albert. The building is one of Centretown’s older offices, having been built in the 1940’s.
Right next door to the Copeland Building, the Concord Building is another mid-rise office, clad in rough concrete and blue brick.
The Empire Building at O’Connor and Laurier is another one of Centretown’s older office-building stock, built in the 50s.
