St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church is an orange brick church located in Alta Vista. Just down the street is another church, the St. Timothy’s Presbyterian Church.

The building sits far from the street, and along with its parking lot is partially obstructed by tree coverage. The church has a unique profile from the street, however a walk around the building reveals itself as a more typical box in form. The blue canopy covering the walkway was erected in 2008 and was removed in 2017. Adjacent to the actual church is the St. Thomas the Apostle Nursery School, which was built along with the church in 1957.

A notable feature of the church is the large white cross, which rises above the ground on a brick base and is angled toward the sky. The sculptural element is a vertical extension of the walls to the church, and sits behind a covered accessible walkway.
