Lamoureux Hall is a monolithic concrete building on the University of Ottawa campus. The building houses the Faculty of Education, the School of Psychology and the Center for Research on French Canadian Culture.

The building is relatively rectangular in plan, however it does have an octagonal shape in its southern half and chamfered corners on the northern side. It also features a very wide overhead bridged walkway that connects to Vanier Hall. The overall form of the building is reflective of the earlier Fauteux Hall that sits toward the north end of the University Campus.

Physically, the building is an imposing 4-storey structure clad with concrete panels and punched windows. The facade has very little depth or texture, and forms a strong, monotonous wall on the campus. The most notable elements of Lamoureux Hall are the rounded egress stairs at each corner. The stairs are clad in a rough textured concrete rather than smooth precast, and are separated from the main elevation by dark metal panels and glazing units. The material choice and use of chamfered corners creates a visual effect of separation between the stairs and the rest of the building. The covered bridge that extends to Vanier Hall features the same smooth concrete as the rest of the building, and terminates in the same rounded egress stair found at the corners of the building.

Originally, the deeply recessed entry at the ground floor was a continuation of the concrete facade, and featured a smooth concrete underside. The building underwent renovations during the late 2000s which saw the installation of yellow panels on the underside of the overhang, a ramp for accessibility, and the construction of a glazed area bringing the ground floor closer to the street.

The building received a massive addition with the construction of the Learning Crossroads, constructed between 2015-2018.
