Among all of the city’s modern churches, Britannia United Church is unique in its modesty. The single-storey, flat roof building sports a simple material palette, and a straightforward form.

The building features smooth beige walls, accented by white details and mullions. The church is anchored on either end by a stone masonry wall, and is capped by a green metal flashing. The flat roof forms an overhang across the long sides of the building, helping to show off the masonry walls on either end.

An addition to the building before the 90s extended the footprint by half the length of the original building, keeping the same materiality as the original construction.
