The Phoenix Apartments sit on Carling Avenue, just before the road goes underneath the Queensway. The tower is clad in concrete and features zig-zagging balconies that rise the entire height of the building.

The building is 22 floors, housing 205 units. For a long time, the tower stood alone at this location on Carling Avenue as the only residential building overlooking the 417 Highway, however recent developments in the early 2020s have seen the construction of several new high-rise apartments in the area. One such development saw the demolition of the brick spiral-shaped Travelodge Hotel building, which was built at a similar time to the Phoenix Apartments.
